Supplier of the Year Awarded to Kem Tech
When Kem Tech industries first started working with one of the largest Travel Centers/Fuel Island operators several years ago, they went from using a variety of products from a handful of different suppliers to a streamlined product line designed for them by Kem Tech.
Starting with their outside cleaning concerns, we were able to move them to Attack for the fuel pads. Being that the Attack is a “green” product and it does not affect separators, we knew it would be a hit. The next solution they needed Kem Tech to address was to provide a non-solvent based Stainless Steel Cleaner/Polish. Using our research and development department, we developed a product called Kleen Shine which is a water-based Cleaner & Polish.
After providing the customer with “green” products for their outside cleaning program, we tackled the inside program. We eliminated their traditional corrosive bathroom cleaners with our Hustle Du RTU using our acid replacement technology. Using our PX-132 SC with polymer technology, we were able to replace traditional alcohol based glass cleaners. Where they were using two different corrosive alkaline based cleaner/degreasers for their mop buckets & cleaning, we provided them with Surfact 2020, a “green” surfactant based cleaner.
Already supplying them with lotion hand soap and body shampoos for their showers, they asked us to develop a foaming hand, head & body shower soap. After several weeks of R&D, Kem Tech developed a product called Gold Shower Foam to suit their needs. Gold Foam effectively replaced the need for two separate products. By creating a foaming soap, it has also reduced their in store cost.
Once we streamlined their specific program, they came to us with another challenge. As we all know, liquid products take up valuable space in “C”-Store/Travel Centers. Our customer was looking to get rid of chemical dispensers that took up valuable space and once again looked to Kem Tech to address this issue for them. Our answer to the customer was a full line of cleaning tablets. We developed a line of products where the footprint of 100 qts worth of product is the size of a soda can. We developed PGC-132 for glass cleaning, 2020 Tablet for all purpose cleaning and degreasing and Sani-Tab which is an EPA registered sanitizer tablet. Not only has this created more storage space, eliminated maintaining chemical dispensers and curbed waste, we also have been able to cut shipping costs as well.
Through using Kem Tech’s vast resources and utilizing our R&D department, Kem Tech Industries was able to eliminate and streamline an entire cleaning program while providing several thousands of dollars to one of the US’s largest Fueling/Travel Center. By Kem Tech Industries meeting and exceeding every challenge they presented us, we were presented the “supplier of the year” award by this fortune 500 company. Come see for yourself what solutions Kem Tech Industries can provide for you.
